Anyone agree that Brosnan's performance in GoldenEye felt different from his following films?
It's hard to describe and can maybe be explained away by the fact it was his first crack at 007 so he was possibly trying too hard. To me, he always seemed more quiet and British in GoldenEye. Even when he was angry or in life threatening danger he very rarely raised his voice or showed too much outward emotion. Almost coming off as too cool and cavalier for every possible situation.
I've heard others describe his performance as "mousy" which doesn't sit well with me but kinda helps explain what I'm trying to point out. I feel like his screen presence increased greatly with TND & TWINE.
Don't get me wrong - I love him in GoldenEye and this is how I wish I could act in everyday life lol I can't help but notice he tweeked his performance considerably, in his next few Bond entries.
